About the role
Help keep Cleaning Services running smoothly across NSW schools and other sites by making sure the right cleaning supplies and equipment are available when and where they’re needed.
As a Logistics and Equipment Advisor, you’ll coordinate the movement and availability of cleaning supplies and equipment across multiple sites. The role currently has a strong delivery focus, with responsibility for transporting supplies and equipment between depots and sites.
As our logistics and distribution operations continue to evolve, the role will transition to inventory coordination, regional stock management and coordinating deliveries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate procurement, ordering, inventory and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory and supply chain records.
- Coordinate deliveries and equipment allocation with suppliers, contractors and sites.
- Respond to urgent requests and delivery issues, balancing competing priorities.
- Support safe warehousing, storage and handling in line with WHS requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics, warehousing and supply chain processes.
This role requires regular travel between depots and operational sites and is not suitable for fully remote working.

About you
- Experience in logistics, inventory, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe handling practices, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet time-critical operational needs.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to respond to and resolve delivery issues and complaints.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment
- Current and valid Forklift licence with high reach experience
- Current and valid NSW Driver’s licence and willingness to travel between depots and operational sites.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
