We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Delivery Group.

Base salary up to $120,766 plus 12% Superannuation (Any offer made will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate)
The Opportunity
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for running projects for the concept design, detailed design, construction and commissioning of Hunter Water’s water and wastewater network and treatment assets.
What you'll do:
-
Deliver Capital Works in accordance with Hunter Water’s “Asset Creation Framework”
-
Assist the Delivery Manager to provide guidance and support to other Project Managers
-
Effectively manage concept design, detailed design, construction and commissioning activities for the delivery of new assets including management of consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved
-
Act as Principal’s Representative / Authorised Person for assigned contracts
-
Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders
-
Proactively manage safety, environmental and quality outcomes of projects
-
Contribute to knowledge management systems
-
Provide written reporting on assigned works with regard to program, budgets and general performance
-
Achieve all KPI targets relating to assigned capital works
-
Manage project budgets including cost control and forecasting
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
-
Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related discipline (Other qualifications may be considered if the candidate has substantial Project Management experience)

Class C Drivers licence
-
Construction Induction card
-
5 plus years project management experience including managing capital works projects and programmes of work
-
Experience in engineering investigation, planning and design and preparation of tender documentation
-
Experience in consultant and contract management/ administration
-
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
-
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation
-
Demonstrated developed project management skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace and to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst still meeting team and corporate deadlines.
Desirable Criteria:
-
Demonstrated knowledge of design guidelines and practices for water and wastewater infrastructure

Experience in engineering investigation, planning and design and preparation of tender documentation of water and wastewater infrastructure
