Job Description

As a fully owned subsidiary of Safran Electronics & Defense, Safran Electronics & Defense Australasia Pty Ltd (SEDA) delivers and supports various products including high-performance optronics and inertial navigation equipment.

SEDA experiencing a growth spurt in the defence sector and is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Project Manager

Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Senior Project Manager, will leads complex projects, ensuring successful project execution in line with company objectives. This role is responsible for managing projects and representing the Head of Programs during key customer interactions, such as Mandated System Reviews (MSRs), Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and project kick-off meetings.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Lead a large multi-discipline engineering team,
Lead a product development team from design to manufacturing,
Have developed and maintained comprehensive project management plans, processes and systems,
Sound knowledge in iterative project delivery cycle and agile project management

Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage technical requirements and

ensure their integration across multiple project areas.

Must display initiative and be proactive in seeking solutions

Ability to build & maintain superior customer relationships
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
Interest in advanced defence technologies

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role you must have:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience managing complex and strategically significant ASDEFCON projects within the Defence industry is highly desirable.
Advanced proficiency in PMI methodologies, project scheduling, cost management, Estimate-To-Complete analyses, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
Applicants must be Australian citizens eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).

Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong ability to proactively identify risks, analyse issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Communication and Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, effectively engaging stakeholders and clearly conveying complex information
