Learn how to cut, fold, weld and fabricate precision metal products used in mining, defence, transport, automation, construction and large-scale industrial projects.

Gain hands-on experience manufacturing custom sheet metal components, enclosures, frames and fabricated assemblies in a high-tech engineering workshop.

As a Sheetmetal Fabrication Apprentice, you’ll step into the world of metal fabrication, ductwork, and custom metal components. If you enjoy working with your hands, learning to operate machines, and seeing your creations come to life on real projects, this is your chance to build a foundation in a highly valued trade.

As part of this apprenticeship, you’ll study a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, gaining specialised skills that will set you up for a successful career in metal fabrication, construction, and commercial building industries.

Some of Your Duties Will Include:

Cutting, folding, and shaping sheet metal to create ductwork, frames, and custom parts.
Using modern workshop machinery and hand tools under supervision.
Reading technical drawings and measuring materials for precise fabrication.
Installing the products you’ve built on-site at commercial and industrial projects.
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and following all safety procedures.
Assisting tradespeople with larger projects and site installations.
Learning welding, joining, and assembly techniques.
