About the Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative Services team, with multiple permanent and temporary opportunities available through to October 2027. This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly skilled and collaborative team that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient-centred care while supporting one another every step of the way. Our team is known for its positive culture, kindness and commitment to ensuring every patient receives safe, compassionate and high-quality care. Working within our single-theatre facility, you'll enjoy a diverse caseload spanning endoscopy, gynaecology, orthopaedics and general surgery, as well as supporting a small inpatient ward. The variety of presentations and procedures means no two days are the same, making this an ideal role for nurses who enjoy broad clinical exposure and ongoing professional development.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will provide care across the patient journey, supporting individuals from admission through to discharge. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre-operative assessments, admitting patients, assisting during procedures, providing care within the anaesthetic, instrument/circulating, recovery and post-anaesthetic care environments, and supporting patients within the inpatient unit as required. You will work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality care while recognising and escalating clinical concerns when required. Support is provided through a comprehensive facility orientation program, supernumerary time and ongoing mentorship from experienced colleagues. You'll also have access to support and guidance from the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Educator for Perioperative Services.

You are a theatre-trained Registered Nurse who enjoys working across multiple perioperative areas and values being part of a supportive team. Essential requirements:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated perioperative/theatre nursing experience.
Ability to participate in an on-call roster.
Availability to work 3–4 days per week.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safe, evidence-based patient care.
