About the Opportunity
Join a contemporary and innovative mental health service dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care across the New England North West region. The New England North West (NENW) Mental Health Service is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Northwest Community Mental Health Team. As part of a multidisciplinary service comprising medical, nursing and allied health professionals, you will play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges within their local community. Our service provides acute mental health assessment, treatment and recovery-focused care across the Northwest catchment. Supported by a strong clinical governance framework, we are committed to delivering consistent, evidence-based mental health care and continually improving the way services are delivered. You'll be joining a team that embraces innovation, collaboration and excellence in community mental health care. You will be supported by an experienced Community Manager and Clinical Coordinator, with access to regular clinical supervision, ongoing professional development opportunities and a broader network of support through the Hunter New England Mental Health Service.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse within the Adult Community Mental Health Team, you will provide care coordination and recovery-focused support to adults experiencing mental health concerns. Working closely with consumers, families, carers and multidisciplinary team members, you will conduct mental health assessments, develop and review care plans, monitor mental state and coordinate interventions that support individuals to achieve their recovery goals. You will utilise evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality care while promoting independence, wellbeing and positive health outcomes. The role also includes the administration of intramuscular injections (IMI) and active participation in multidisciplinary case discussions, service improvement initiatives and clinical review processes.

Your ability to build strong therapeutic relationships, communicate effectively and engage meaningfully with consumers, families and carers will be key to your success. You are confident working autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment and are committed to continuous learning, professional development and delivering safe, evidence-based mental health care.
