Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified, reliable, and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team in a full-time position based in Helensvale, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair trucks, heavy vehicles, company vehicles, and waste compactors
Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
Diagnose faults and undertake troubleshooting and repairs
Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant safety standards
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Ensure all vehicles and equipment remain safe, compliant and roadworthy
Follow workplace health, safety and environmental requirements

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of trucks, heavy vehicles, company vehicles and compactors to support safe and efficient operations across the business.

Requirements

Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
Previous experience as a truck or diesel mechanic
Current MR Licence, minimum requirement
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance

Desirable, but Not Essential

Experience as an Auto Electrician
Experience working on waste or recycling equipment, including compactors
