We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner to take ownership of the end-to-end maintenance planning function at Talloman’s operation.
This role is responsible for driving maintenance planning strategy, workforce optimisation, and schedule governance, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and operational uptime.
You will act as the key interface between Maintenance, Operations, Procurement, and Stores, owning the systems and processes that underpin maintenance execution across site.

Our Talloman division specialises in the processing of mixed abattoir materials and by products through our rendering plant located in Hazelmere. The site currently processes up to 3,500 tonnes of animal waste per week that would otherwise go to landfill.

Key responsibilities:

Own and optimise the end-to-end maintenance planning and scheduling function at Talloman, including strategies, labour forecasting, and resource planning to support plant reliability and performance

Develop and maintain the master maintenance schedule, ensuring alignment between planned maintenance, and production priorities

Lead workforce planning and optimisation, including rosters, shift coverage models, and on-call coordination for maintenance teams

Administer and optimise the CMMS (MEX), ensuring data integrity, effective work order management, and continuous improvement of planning processes

Analyse maintenance demand, backlog, and resource capacity to balance uptime, workload prioritisation, and labour efficiency

Coordinate execution of preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities, ensuring safe and timely delivery of work

Oversee procurement and materials planning, including critical spares strategy, purchase orders, and supplier coordination to minimise operational risk

Report on key maintenance KPIs including schedule adherence, downtime, backlog health, and resource utilisation, driving continuous improvement across planning and execution
About you:

Senior experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within industrial, FMCG, mining, or fixed plant environments

Proven ability to own maintenance schedules, workforce planning, and resource optimisation at a lead level

Strong experience with CMMS systems (MEX or equivalent) and maintenance data integrity management

Demonstrated capability in planning, outage coordination, and high-volume maintenance execution environments

Strong stakeholder influence across maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement, with a focus on reliability, safety, and performance outcomes
