Employment Type
Casual
Employment is offered on a casual basis.
Shifts are allocated according to participant needs, worker suitability and operational requirements.
Casual employment does not guarantee a minimum number of hours.
Salary
From $38.00 per hour (Casual) plus Superannuation, applicable SCHADS Award penalty rates, overtime, weekend and public holiday penalties, travel allowances and kilometre reimbursement where applicable.
Classification and remuneration will be determined in accordance with the SCHADS Award based on qualifications, experience and the inherent requirements of the role.
About the Role
You will support adults living with complex physical disabilities, neurological conditions and high support needs within Supported Independent Living (SIL), participants' homes and community settings.
Working alongside Registered Nurses and allied health professionals, you will deliver supports that promote safety, independence, dignity and quality of life.
Support activities may include:
- Personal care and activities of daily living.
- Safe manual handling and specialised transfers.
- Hoist transfers.
- Community participation.
- PEG feeding (following competency assessment and delegated clinical guidance).
- Dysphagia and mealtime support.
- Urinary catheter support.
- Complex bowel care.
- Pressure care and skin integrity management.
- Medication assistance within scope of practice.
- Clinical observations and reporting.
- Accurate documentation and incident reporting.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role and possess:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable, registered and insured motor vehicle where required.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete).
- Right to work in Australia.
- Ability to communicate effectively and complete electronic documentation.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Highly regarded:
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate IV in Mental Health, Enrolled Nurse qualification or another relevant qualification.
- Experience supporting adults with complex physical disabilities or neurological conditions.
- Experience implementing delegated high-intensity support activities.
- Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards.
- Experience within Supported Independent Living, rehabilitation or hospital transition services.
