The Team & Role
Pharmacy provides a range of clinical and operational services in our acute, sub-acute, mental health and community health services, reporting through to the Executive Director, Operations (Chief Operating Officer). Under the guidance of Associate Directors of Pharmacy, rotational clinical pharmacists will work closely with senior pharmacists and clinical educators to deliver safe, personal, effective and connected care to our patients. The pharmacist is also expected to participate in all aspects of service provision, training and education, including attending and participating in education activities, and clinical supervision of interns and students.
The position also supports monitoring of local medicine budgets and provides guidance to prescribers on medication use. In addition, the role contributes to practice-based research and ongoing service improvement across the pharmacy and wider Directorate or Service. Clinical Pharmacists may rotate to any clinical service, depending on the needs of the broader Department within the Peninsula Care Group.

Skills & Experience Required
Registered pharmacist with AHPRA Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Hospital pharmacy experience with a demonstrated understanding of contemporary practice in hospital clinical pharmacy services, QuM and therapeutics.
Demonstrate commitment to further education and self-directed learning.
Desirable
Recent or current hospital pharmacy experience working in a clinical setting.
Have experience with using electronic medication management systems, including Cerner.
Relevant clinical post-graduate qualification or equivalent and/or completion of a specialist qualifications, or working towards.
Completion of (or progression towards) an AdPha accredited Resident Training Program.
