About the role

We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate disability support workers to provide care and assistance to help them live independently within their own homes.

While your skills/qualifications and experience tell us part of your story, your values, attitude, and cultural alignment with Southern Cross are essential.

At Southern Cross we aim to ensure our behaviours reflect our core values which include

Duties include but not limited too

Personal care
Medication administration
Assistance with Allied health tasks
Assistance with meals
Manual handling
Domestic assistance

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Variety of shifts available, including inactive overnights.

Requirements:

Applicants must have good English speaking skills, be clear and easily understood
Previous care experience
Current references
Mobile phone
Current driver's licence and your own car (mandatory)
NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
Paid Working with Children's check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
Certificate III in Ageing/Disability or another related field (mandatory)
