Full Job Description

Yulong Stud is seeking a passionate and experienced horse person to join our team as a full-time Stud Hand at our Yulong Park property, located in Bayles, Victoria, just a short distance from the scenic Mornington Peninsula.

Reporting to the Property Manager, your duties would include but not be limited to:

Daily stud tasks such as feeding, checking horses, paddock and stable maintenance, and horse movements
Administering treatments including drenching and assisting with vaccination protocols
Bandaging horses as required, under the direction or supervision of the veterinarian and Property Manager
Assisting with the care and handling of horses during visits from veterinarians, farriers, dentists, etc
Supporting general farm maintenance when needed
Completing other ad-hoc tasks as required

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

Previous experience in the Thoroughbred industry (preferred)
A current full driver’s license
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team
A hardworking, reliable, and friendly personality, with a passion for horse care
