Your role
The role supervises a team to meet statutory obligations and deliver high-quality client services. It promotes ethical conduct and high performance to support service excellence and organisational goals. The role may act as a Registrar or Deputy Registrar, overseeing resources, leading a small team, and undertaking quasi-judicial and procedural responsibilities.
Circuit and relieving staff are required to possess a current Drivers Licence and be willing to travel, including overnight stays.

What you’ll do
Lead and develop registry staff, effectively allocating resources to ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of operational objectives.
Implement training, coaching, and procedural improvements to ensure staff remain current with legislative, policy, and procedural changes.
Provide expert operational advice and reporting to senior management, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, service quality, and client outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of streamlined and effective work practices.
Foster an inclusive, safe, and high-performing workplace culture that values diversity, wellbeing, ethical conduct, and employee development.
Exercise sound judgment and discretion in registry operations, including the performance of quasi-judicial and procedural functions where delegated as Registrar or Deputy Registrar.

Leadership and People Management – Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Stakeholder and Client Service Excellence – Strong ability to build relationships, provide professional advice, and deliver high-quality client-focused services.
Communication and Influencing Skills – Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance, training, and operational advice to staff and senior leaders.
Judgement, Decision-Making and Adaptability – Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities, adapt to changing legislative and operational requirements, and make informed decisions in complex situations.
