About the Role
Join our dynamic Division of Medicine as a Staff Specialist in General Medicine, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across two modern and well-supported facilities – Murwillumbah District Hospital and Tweed Valley Hospital. This permanent full-time role offers a unique rotational model, providing clinical variety and the opportunity to contribute to both a regional hospital setting and a state-of-the-art tertiary facility.
You will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and service development. This position offers a broad scope of general medicine practice, with opportunities to participate in quality improvement, education, and subspecialty interest aligned to service needs.

Where you'll be working
Murwillumbah District Hospital, located at Ewing Street Murwillumbah is a local community hospital established in 1903. The hospital provides the local community with a range of services including: Emergency Department, Operating Suite, Day Surgery, Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units, a Womens Ambulatory Care Unit comprising Birth Centre, Antenatal Clinic and Gynaecology Clinic, and a well-appointed rehabilitation unit. As a smaller community hospital, we work closely with The Tweed Hospital and Byron Central Hospital, as well as other Hospitals in Northern NSW as well as with tertiary hospitals in Southern Queensland to support the healtchare needs of our community.
Murwillumbah is located in the beautiful Tweed Valley, a subtropical oasis encompassing the rugged terrain of Wollumbin National Park, arty riverside villages, historic coastal towns and the gateway to the Gold Coast.
