The Youth Worker in the Reconnect program will deliver client-centred services aimed at assisting young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The role includes conducting assessments, developing case plans, and providing intensive support to help young people engage with their families, education, and local community.
Through proactive outreach and collaboration, the Youth Worker will work to build resilience, address underlying issues related to homelessness, and support sustainable outcomes for clients and their families.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in youth work or community services, with demonstrated experience in engaging with young people facing complex challenges. You will need to be culturally aware and sensitive, particularly in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field.
- Experience in case management and working with issues such as homelessness and mental health.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with young people and families.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $38.65 per hour, in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) Social and Community Services Worker Level 3, along with opportunities for salary packaging.
