Smarte Carte Australia is the leading supplier and manager of airport baggage trolley services and baggage storage solutions across Australia. We also operate a range of customer-focused airport services including lockers, sleeping pods, massage chairs, and luggage retail solutions.
Following the award of a new contract at Perth Airport, an exciting opportunity has become available for Customer Service Supervisors to join our growing airport operations team. This is a new service delivery arrangement and represents a fresh opportunity to help establish and lead operations on site.
The purpose of the Customer Service Supervisor role is to oversee the daily operations of airport-based trolley services and support the delivery of a safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation. You will work closely with the Site Operations Manager and site team to ensure operational standards, KPIs, and service expectations are consistently met.
You will also play a key role in supporting frontline staff, maintaining compliance with safety systems, and ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
With training, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Customer Service Representatives follow Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Reporting all hazards, near misses, incidents and accidents in line with company procedures
- Providing professional and helpful customer service to passengers and airport stakeholders
- Supporting daily operational requirements across the site, including trolley services and related functions
- Maintaining accurate daily documentation and operational records
- Responding to customer and internal enquiries (phone and email where applicable)
- Supporting rostering and operational adjustments in line with passenger flow and budget requirements
- Providing recommendations to improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency
- Supporting onboarding and training of staff as required
- Communicating and reinforcing Smarte Carte policies, procedures and service standards
- Maintaining regular communication with the Site Operations Manager and operational leadership team
About you:
- Strong leadership or supervisory experience in a customer service or operations environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead by example and support frontline staff
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster in line with airport operations
- Experience in transport, aviation, retail, or logistics environments desirable

This is a new contract at Perth Airport. This role forms part of Smarte Carte’s new operation and is not a transfer of employment from any previous service provider.
