Sydney Stone Creations Pty Ltd is a well established, trusted and busy stonemasonry business seeking a reliable and detail-focused CNC Bridge Saw Operator to join our factory team in Mulgrave NSW.
This is a full time, hands-on role that involves the operation of our CNC Bridge Saw Machine to cut and prepare stone for various custom projects.
Previous experience within the stone industry or operating a CNC Bridge saw machine would be highly regarded; however, we are willing to train the right person who is technically minded, comfortable working with machinery and drawings, and eager to build their skills within the industry.
The Role
- Operate the CNC Bridge saw for stone fabrication
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, cut lists and production schedules
- Assist with programming jobs and planning cutting sequences
- Prepare or work with digital drawings and machine files
- Safely load, unload and handle stone slabs
- Check measurements and completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Work with different types of natural and engineered stone with care and precision
- Communicate with the team to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced in operating a CNC Bridge saw machine or similar equipment is beneficial
- Knowledge of the stone industry, manufacturing, fabrication or machine-operating would be an advantage
- A practical understanding of measurements, mapping, drawings or digital plans
- Comfortable using technology and learning new software and machinery
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy
- Willingness to learn about different stone types, machinery and fabrication processes
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well independently and as part of a team
- A strong focus on workplace safety and the safe handling of materials
- Forklift license is an advantage but not essential
