In this full-time, max term (till December 31, 2026 with strong potential for extension), you’ll work as a part of our Intensive Bail Response and Youth Support Services team in Mount Isa to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.
You will make a difference by:
- Leading and developing a passionate team, including providing their professional supervision
- Proactively building connections with local service providers including youth justice services, and other specialist supports
- Advocating for young people and their families through local networks and engagement with government agencies
- Overseeing daily operations within the Bail Support programs and ensuring that practice, compliance and child safeguarding standards are met
- Ensuring compliance with service agreements, policies and procedures, and compiling relevant data to acquit reporting requirements
- Travelling to all sites to support the delivery and evaluation of these programs

This role requires:
- Strong leadership skills and a genuine passion to motivate and guide a high performing team to achieve collective goals and positive outcomes for children and young people
- Demonstrated experience in working with youth at risk of becoming, or are currently involved with the Youth Justice system; families requiring support to meet the needs of their young people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a high performing team to achieve collective goals, program and client outcomes.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, and/or significant equivalent experience
- Experience in rural community work
