Full Job Description

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated AGRICULTURE TECHNICIANS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Mount Gambier site in South Australia.

As a valuable member of our team, this position will play a vital role in the success of our operations. If you are reliable, energetic and have a passion for agriculture we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Farm Manager you will be working in an outdoor farm environment.

An attractive remuneration package between $70,000 - $90,000 is available to the right candidates.

Duties include:

Perform maintenance services on vehicles and agricultural equipment, diagnosing faults in diesel engines, transmissions, and mechanical parts.
Dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, and mechanical parts, testing and diagnosing vehicles and equipment for operational efficiency.
Undertake routine repairs and maintenance on farm equipment and machinery.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts, ordering replacements as required.
Monitor field operations to identify problems with vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
Report any maintenance, quality or safety problems or concerns to the Farm Manager.
All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

Trade qualification plus at least 2 years of relevant experience OR at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in machinery maintenance and / or mechanical maintenance.
Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge and experience working with large scale agricultural machinery.
Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence (essential).
Forklift Licence (essential).
Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability and willingness to undertake manual, and sometimes physical work.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors, in all kinds of weather conditions.
A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.
Respect for others and pride in team’s performance.

Commitment to delivering team goals and the drive to be successful.

This position will require weekend and night work in line with production demands.
