Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the renewable energy company using Xero accounting software.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices, process payments, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll activities, including employee compensation, benefits, and tax deductions, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into the company's financial performance.
Compliance and Documentation: Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reviews.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather financial data, provide insights, and support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

Proficiency in using Xero accounting software is essential.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
Familiarity with renewable energy financial models or willingness to learn.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Certification in bookkeeping/accounting (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
