Animal Attendant (Pet Boarding)

As the leading provider of pet care services across Australia, Kip Happy Stays sets the benchmark for excellence, creating trusted and joyful spaces that pets love and families can depend on.

At Kip Adelaide Hills, our team is deeply committed to delivering exceptional care to every furry friend that walks through its doors. We are now looking for the pick of the litter to complement our existing team and help contribute to providing a premium service to the local pets.

The ideal candidate will be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with flexible hours between 7am–6pm, Monday through Sunday. Availability to work weekends and across all school holiday periods — including Christmas and Easter — is required.

Duties and responsibilities:

Provision of food and water for pets in care
Health checks and general animal husbandry
Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
Providing enrichment through play and scheduled activities
Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety
Building and maintaining rapport with our pet owners through feedback and transparency
Creating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photos
Daily administration such as answering enquiries through email and phone, record keeping and entering information in our booking systems

Key requirements:

Minimum 20 hours per week availability
Must be available to work weekends and all school holiday periods, including Christmas and Easter
Previous experience working with animals is preferred
Driven with a strong work ethic
Physically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all conditions with pets of various sizes
Great attention to detail
Works well in a team environment
Able to follow routines, policies and procedures
A current driver's licence and the ability to drive our pet taxi is highly regarded
Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines)
