Location – Across Latrobe City Council Libraries in Traralgon, Morwell, Churchill and Moe
Band 6 Salary Range: $97,245.14 to $105,466.60 plus 12% superannuation

The role
As the Senior Librarian – Collections you will assist Latrobe City Council’s library services with maximising community utilisation of library collections and increasing membership, via developing a collection of physical and online resources tailored to meet the needs and interest of our local community.
As part of the role, you will guide and support our Libraries and Customer Experience team in daily collection management, including section and deselection, cataloguing, processing and collection maintenance and development.
About You
For this role we are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in providing a high level of collection management and customer service experience in a dynamic team-based environment. You will have the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in collection management whilst assisting in employee development to improve team culture and our service standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in information management, data analysis or equivalent is desirable, or a lesser qualification together with substantial experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating library collections.
- Sound knowledge of collection management standards, processes, and promotions.
- Demonstrated experience in change management, innovation, and process improvement.
Successful applicants are required to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
