- Clerk Grade 9/10 with a salary range of $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus superannuation

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Media Advisor to join our Media & Events team.
The role primarily supports the Hospitality and Racing group, which is responsible for regulating licensed venues and casinos, supporting a vibrant and diverse hospitality industry, and overseeing the state’s racing codes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and deliver media opportunities to promote departmental priorities
- Provide clear, timely media advice to stakeholders and Ministerial offices
- Write and coordinate media materials such as releases and statements
- Monitor media coverage and manage emerging issues
- Build and maintain relationships with media and stakeholders
- Support media events and announcements
- Work collaboratively to deliver effective communication outcomes

About you
You are an enthusiastic and detail-oriented media professional with demonstrated experience delivering high-quality communications projects.
You will bring:
- Proven experience crafting engaging media and communications materials across multiple channels
- Experience working with Ministers, Ministerial advisors and media outlets
- Strong understanding of government communications, including regulatory or compliance contexts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in fast-paced environments
