Join a purpose-driven organisation where your financial skills directly support teams that save animal lives every day. Animal Emergency Australia (AEA) is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage critical finance functions in a growing national veterinary group.

About the Role
As Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely financial operations across a multi-entity group. You’ll handle accounts payable processes, credit card reconciliation, invoice payments, and end-of-month reporting. You’ll also be a go-to expert for practice managers and clinical teams when it comes to financial accuracy and support.

Key Responsibilities

Process and reconcile supplier invoices, employee expenses, and credit card transactions
Manage AP mailboxes and respond to payment queries
Prepare and process mid-month and end-of-month payments
Reconcile supplier statements
Resolving supplier queries via email and phone
Assisting with month-end procedures and providing financial reporting as required
Supporting the broader finance team as needed

The Successful Applicant Should Have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts payable
Proficiency with Xero, Dext, and Excel
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance an advantage
