About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plumber, Infrastructure Tradesman to join our team at Olive Downs Complex in the Bowen Basin.

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah which commenced mining operations in mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous & Staffed), water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.

Working a 7/7 day shift roster and reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, your duties will include:

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and building infrastructure
Deliver high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services across water, sewer, drainage, and facility assets
Support site operations through effective infrastructure upkeep, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with site teams
Work with key internal and external stakeholders to meet the project's targets in safety, environment and production
Undertake general site ground maintenance, including (but not limited to) structural roof leak repairs, door and passageway repairs, flooring repairs, and weed management

Requirements

Proven experience as a plumber, preferably with exposure to infrastructure, mining, or civil projects
At least 12 months experience as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintainer in the mining industry
Trade Qualification: Certificate III or IV in Plumbing (or recognised equivalent)
Licensing: Current Queensland Plumbing and Drainage Licence (or ability to obtain immediately) - essential
