Junior Victims of Crime Lawyer – Eastern Suburbs – Lilydale office based

Our Lilydale based firm has a need for a junior or graduate lawyer who is looking for a varied and fulfilling role in a supportive, positive workplace.

The successful applicant would join our busy Victims of Crime team working under a mentoring lawyer handling applications to the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme.

The successful applicant will have an outgoing, caring, and compassionate personality, with proven experience in working effectively with people who have sustained significant trauma.

Further, strong attention detail is paramount, along with an ability to work efficiently to progress a large number of files at any one time. Excellent time management skills are a must.

This role will be based at our Lilydale office, however there will be an expectation that the successful applicant be willing to work at least one day a week from either our Berwick office in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs or our Reservoir office in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs.

Junior Legal Assistant – Family Law – Lilydale Office

Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers are a well respected general practice firm with offices in Lilydale, Berwick, and Reservoir.

We are looking for a junior legal assistant to join our busy family law team, based in Lilydale.

As a full time legal assistant at Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers, your primary responsibilities will be to:

Carry out a variety of administrative tasks including sending letters and emails and making telephone calls;
Generating and reviewing precedent legal documents;
Document management;
Scheduling and diary management;

Experience in Family Law is not essential but experience in an office environment and/or qualification in law, justice or administration is required. Experience in sales or reception will be favourably looked upon.

Key attributes required are high attention to detail, friendly and personable manner, excellent organisational skills and a can-do attitude.
