Job description

We are looking for a Drum and Guitar teacher to join our Academy - bonus if you can teach both instruments.

Position includes:

- Super guarantee paid on top of base rate.

- Steady work schedule through the year. (Our studio is open all year aside for a short shut down period from 15th of December to 15th of January)

- Between 2-5 teaching days a week.

- Flexible pick of working night/s

ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Replay Music Academy is a music and performing arts studio providing individual and group music lessons on a variety of instruments. We are looking for a new teacher to join our staff. Our mission is to provide quality music tuition and industry training to our student base through support, nurture and inspiration. Through our lessons, we strive to empower students to reach their goals and thrive in their music education. We share with them the love of music and the enriching benefits of the performing arts. We believe that every lesson at the academy is another chance to shape and nurture our students in a positive way, creating lifelong memories and instilling a love of the performing arts. Teachers are the essential keystone to passing on a comprehensive arts education and we are looking for a brilliant and committed teacher who is passionate about their work, diligent, reliable, an outstanding communicator, and a dedicated team player.

In this role, you will:

Teach students in a one-on-one lesson structure with optional group lesson opportunities tailoring their lessons to their age, skill level, needs, and musical goals.
Set and communicate with students and parents, progress and practise expectations.
Guide students through our outcome based curriculum and develop your own lessons.
Communicate with our team and the director about student progress and studio operations.
Support students at concerts
Take student attendance

Excellent communication skills including communication regarding students' progress and studio operations to students, parents, and our director/administration.
Reliability for both the students and co-workers.Your role is an essential part of the experience to help our students and parents feel supported, valued, and cherished members of our community.
Your highest priority is service, clients, and their care to help create a amazing experience for our students. This includes anticipating and adapting to their needs in every interaction with clients.

Location: 35 Interlink Drive, Craigieburn 3059

Hours of Work: Shifts are generally 3-5 hours - 3-8pm Weekdays and 9am - 2pm Saturday’s.

Classification: Miscellaneous Award - MA000104 with steady work available 2-5 nights a week 48 weeks of the year. We pay above the award rate. Opportunities for more teaching shifts are available depending on performance and results. If this feels like an opportunity that would love, please send us your resume. Rate of Pay: $32-38 an hour + Super - TBD based on experience and qualifications and age. (Super is paid on top of your hourly rate).
