In this role, you'll:
Be responsible for undertaking a broad range of business support activities to assist managers, operational teams and leadership across the Signs & Markings business unit. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient coordination of procurement, reporting, systems administration, financial processes and general operational support to help deliver business outcomes across multiple work units.
The Signs and Markings Works Support Officer will also be responsible for:
- Managing procurement requests, purchase requisitions and purchase orders through electronic approval systems, while monitoring workflows and following up outstanding actions.
- Supporting sales order processing, finance administration and business transactions, including journals and related financial activities.
- Coordinating monthly reporting, business forecasting and milestone tracking, ensuring deadlines, timesheets and administrative requirements are met.
- Maintaining accurate records and managing business data in line with organisational policies and compliance requirements.
- Supporting managers and employees by providing guidance on business systems, approval processes and administrative procedures.
- Coordinating meetings, calendars and logistics, providing administrative support to leadership and committees, and contributing to continuous improvement of business processes and operational effectiveness.
This is an ongoing full-time position which can be based in Orange, Dubbo, Parkes, Grafton, Wagga Wagga or Yennora.
The role requires in person attendance on particular days of the week at your local TfNSW office.
Travel may be required on occasion, generally once or twice per month depending on business requirements.

About you
You are highly organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality administrative and operational support.
You have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse range of teams, managers and business support functions.
You have demonstrated experience in administration, coordination and business support, ideally within an operational, project or service delivery environment.
You have experience supporting procurement, finance administration, sales orders or similar business processes will be highly regarded.
You will be comfortable working across a variety of electronic systems and approval workflows, with the ability to monitor progress, follow through on actions and ensure compliance with established business processes.
You possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders across the business.
You hold a current driver's licence and are willing to travel occasionally as required by business needs.
