Cabonne Council is seeking an experienced and capable leader to guide our Water Utilities team in delivering safe, reliable and compliant water and wastewater services across our communities. Based in Cudal, this permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to lead a critical service area, influence long-term infrastructure planning, and build team capability in a supportive and values-driven regional organisation.
What you’ll do
- Lead the strategic direction, planning and performance of Council’s water and wastewater services.
- Oversee asset management, technical services, capital works, maintenance programs, budgets, contracts, compliance and reporting.
- Provide leadership to staff and contractors, build team capability, and foster a safe, accountable and results-driven culture.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the community, regulators, contractors and Council leadership.
About you
- You bring relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science or a related field, or extensive equivalent experience in a similar leadership role.
- You have demonstrated experience in water and wastewater treatment and operations, along with strong knowledge of asset management, project delivery and regulatory compliance.
- You are an effective people leader with strong communication, stakeholder engagement and financial management skills.
- You are committed to safe and respectful workplaces, continuous improvement and delivering outcomes for the community.
