BaptistCare's Heritage Manor in Morwell has a part-time Chef opportunity available, six days per fortnight including weekend shifts. If you have come from restaurants, hotels, or commercial kitchens and want to trade the grind of full-time hospitality for something more sustainable without giving up the craft, this is worth a look.
WHAT WE OFFER
Up to $33.96 per hour, with pay progression through the classification band.
NFP salary packaging up to $18,550 per year, significantly more take-home pay on top of your hourly rate.

THE ROLE
You will work as part of the Heritage Manor kitchen team, preparing and delivering high-quality meals for residents. The focus is on food that is fresh, well-presented, and tailored to individual needs. You will work alongside the Head Chef and contribute to a kitchen that residents genuinely look forward to every day.
Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, including therapeutic diets and special dietary requirements
Follow recipe cards and defined menus consistently and to time
Assist with day-to-day compliance with the Food Safety Program guidelines
Maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene at all times
Assist with stock management and ordering
Support functions, events, and special occasions within the residence as required
ABOUT YOU
You have solid kitchen experience from restaurants, hotels, or commercial hospitality. Aged care experience is not required. What matters is that you can cook well, work as part of a team, and show up reliably for your shifts including weekends.
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade experience
Background in restaurants, hotels, or commercial kitchens (this is what we are looking for)
Food Handling and Hygiene Certificate (required)
Availability for weekend shifts (mandatory for this role)
Reliable, team-focused, and takes pride in the standard of their work
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
Proof of working rights in Australia
Hold or be willing to obtain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
