Your New Role:
Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference to essential community infrastructure? We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Operator Water & Sewer Network to join our Water and Sewer team on a temporary full-time basis.
Working alongside a skilled team, you'll contribute to the delivery of projects that provide safe and reliable water and sewer services. You will be involved in the construction and renewal of water and sewer infrastructure, working with pipelines, valves, hydrants, manholes, service connections and associated assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Construction, installation and renewal of water and sewer infrastructure.
- Excavation, pipe laying, asset rehabilitation and repair works.
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and work instructions.
- Participating in planned after-hours works and on-call rosters when required.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance and quality workmanship.
- Supporting apprentices, trainees and other team members in the field.

About You:
We're interested in candidates who enjoy practical, hands-on work and have experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects. To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Trade qualification in Plumbing, Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, or another relevant qualification.
- Current Tetanus, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B immunisations, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in civil construction, utilities, water and sewer infrastructure, plumbing, maintenance or related industries.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Sound communication and record-keeping skills.
