About Pure Aquatics
Pure Aquatics is an aquaculture and aquatics equipment supplier and systems integrator based in Wauchope, on the NSW Mid North Coast. We supply filtration, water quality monitoring and life support equipment to aquaculture farms, research institutions, zoos and aquariums across Australia, and we design, fabricate and install complete aquatic systems. We’re a small, hands-on team where everyone’s work matters — and where you’ll never be just a number.
About the role
We’re looking for a reliable, well-organised Junior Office Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our office. This is a genuine entry-level opportunity — no prior office experience is required. We’ll train you in everything from our sales and accounting systems to freight bookings and customer service.
The role is part-time at 24 hours per week (days and hours negotiable across Monday–Friday), with a clear expectation that it will grow into a full-time position as the business continues to expand. It is classified at Level 1–2 of the Clerks — Private Sector Award 2020, with pay and conditions in line with the Award.
What you’ll be doing
- Answering phones and greeting visitors — you’re the friendly first point of contact
- Monitoring the sales and info email inboxes and directing enquiries to the right person
- Processing website orders and preparing invoices in our systems (WooCommerce and Xero — training provided)
- Booking freight and preparing consignment notes and shipping labels
- Data entry, filing and keeping our shared drive and records tidy
- Ordering office and packaging supplies, handling incoming/outgoing mail
- General admin support to the sales, accounts and projects teams
What we’re looking for
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn — this matters more to us than experience
- Clear, friendly phone manner and good written communication
- Basic computer confidence (email, Microsoft Word/Excel or similar)
- Accuracy and attention to detail, especially with numbers
- Reliability — you show up, follow through, and ask questions when unsure
- School leavers, TAFE students and career-changers are all encouraged to apply
