About the Finance Department
The Finance Department provides services covering FP&A, incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting, incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (patient billing and sundry debtors); Private Practice administration, Cash Management and Investments. The total revenue of the hospital is approximately $1.3 billion per annum. The Finance Department is currently located adjacent to the Austin campus at Heidelberg.
About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Financial Analyst Capital to join our Finance Department.
The position, reporting to the Financial Accountant Capital acts as a strategic link between Finance and key stakeholders, providing financial oversight and support for capital projects. The role manages the delivery of accurate budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and funding acquittals to support sound decision-making and the achievement of organisational strategic objectives.
A regular day will see you:

Manage end-to-end asset accounting including capitalisation, depreciation, revaluations, impairments and disposals

Support Divisional Asset Management Plans through modelling and analysis

Contribute to statutory reporting, financial statements, and acquittals

Support budgeting, forecasting, and project-based financial analysis

Identify and improve systems, processes, and reporting capability
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:

Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, business, finance, or accounting
-
Demonstrated 2 years+ experience in a similar role
-
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
-
Sound analytical skills, ability to interpret data and problem solve

Ability to work to strict deadlines and contribute effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team environment

Work towards becoming a CPA / CA
