About the role:
This role will see you perform vital screening and assessment mammography to the women in our community. You will work from our fixed sites, as well as on our mobile vans, providing you the opportunity to travel and work in rural areas across Hunter New England to ensure equitable access to all women. While this position is part-time, the ability to participate in a travel component on the basis of a full week would be looked upon favourably.
This position can be filled by a Level 2 or Level 3 Radiographer, or Mammography Practitioner. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to progress by attaining a Certificate in Mammographic Practice.
Support and orientation will be provided by the Designated Radiographer and the entire team. Training and opportunity for further education will be available and encouraged for the right candidate. We have dedicated tutors who run in-house training programs and will provide ongoing support.

0.2 Permanent FTE available (Saturday)
0.6 Temporary FTE available (6 month contract)
Where you’ll be working:
You will work at BreastScreen NSW Waratah and East Maitland Green Hills fixed sites, as well as on our mobile vans which are located at various areas throughout Hunter New England and are rostered out of the Waratah site. You will be part of a small team working on the away and commutable mobile vans or part of a larger multidisciplinary team when at the fixed site for screening and assessment clinics.

The Saturday position will based primarily at Waratah.
About you:
We are looking for empathetic, client focussed staff who will enjoy working as part of our cohesive and highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Our aim is to provide high quality imaging and excellence in all aspects of the BreastScreen service.
You will be a female Radiographer or Mammography Practitioner who is enthusiastic about being part of this population screening program for the women throughout Hunter New England.
We are willing to provide training for the right candidate.
Requirements:

Relevant qualifications in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent/Graduate Diploma of Mammography/Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) or willingness to complete.

Registered as a Medical Radiation Practitioner – Diagnostic Radiographer (General or Mammography registration) with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia where required.

Hold a current EPA IA 14M/ IA 14 radiation licence.

Current NSW Drivers Licence.

Available to work away on mobile screening vans for up to 6 days at a time.
