About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role you will be responsible for the following;
· Oversee kitchen preparation and packing for catering events
· Plan, organise and coordinate food production for catering events and functions
· Prepare, cook and present a variety of Italian dishes to a consistently high standard
· Oversee the preparation of catering menu items, including arancini, meatballs, gnocchi, sauces, and other specialty products
· Ensure food is prepared, cooked and presented in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, event plans, menus and client requirements
· Monitor food quality, taste, presentation and portion control throughout all stages of production
· Coordinate production schedules and kitchen workflow to ensure timely completion of catering orders and event requirements
· Lead on-site kitchen operations during catering events, including final preparation, cooking, plating and service
· Maintain quality, consistency and organisation under high-pressure conditions
· Ensure correct setup, storage and handling of food on-site
· Coordinate with logistics and FOH to deliver smooth and timely service
· Adapt quickly to changes and solve operational issues during events
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have;
· A Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification;
· A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the same or similar role
· Leadership and management skills
· Excellent time management skills
· Ability to work autonomously
· Planning, problem solving and coordination skills
· Ability to work under pressure
Salary
If successful, you will be paid a salary of approximately $80,537 per annum.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
