Job Description
About you
As a commercially driven and relationship-focused sales professional, you bring energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for hospitality. You thrive on building connections, uncovering new opportunities and turning conversations into business. With a strong understanding of the corporate, conference, groups, MICE and events landscape, you are confident representing the hotel in the marketplace and building lasting partnerships with clients, agents and industry stakeholders.
You’re proactive, organised and results-focused, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities while keeping your eye on the bigger picture. Your strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with a natural ability to collaborate across teams, allow you to confidently drive business and deliver exceptional experiences. Most importantly, you bring a positive attitude, commercial mindset and a desire to make things happen.
What you will be doing?
You will play a key role in driving sales and business growth across the hotel with a focus on conference, groups, corporate, MICE, wholesale and inbound markets. You will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, client engagement and industry events.
Your role will include managing and growing key accounts, developing strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents and business partners, and maximising opportunities across our dual-brand hotel offering. You will work closely with the Revenue, Reservations and Conference & Events teams to convert opportunities and deliver seamless client experiences from enquiry through to event completion.
You’ll also represent the hotel at client meetings, trade shows and industry events, maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records, and provide regular reporting on sales activity and performance.
Located at Melbourne Airport, with two hotel brands, extensive conference and event facilities and a unique position in one of Melbourne’s busiest business and travel hubs, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and help grow our conference and events business.
Bring your energy, build great relationships and let’s make business happen!
