Full Job Description

Immediate Start – Experienced Removalists & Drivers Wanted

Move On Removals is looking for experienced Drivers and Removalists (Jockeys) to join our growing team in West Melbourne.

Pay Rates

MR Driver: $36 per hour
Full Australian Driver Licence: $34 per hour
Jockey (Removalist): $32 per hour

25–40 hours per week available for the right candidates.

Location

West Melbourne
(Only a 10-minute walk from Southern Cross Station)
Parking available.

Requirements

Must be 23 years of age or older
Full Australian Driver Licence or a valid Full International Driver Licence
Previous furniture moving/removalist experience is essential
Physically fit and capable of lifting 15–25 kg
Able to communicate confidently in English
Reliable, punctual and professional
Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities

Safely load, unload and transport furniture and household items
Protect customers' belongings using moving blankets and wrapping materials
Work efficiently as part of a team
Follow instructions and maintain excellent customer service
Keep the truck organised throughout the move
Handle customers' belongings with care and attention to detail

Must be responsible for carefully and safely preparing a home's belongings for transport:

Physical Strength: Lifting and moving 15-25 kgs
Attention to Detail: Ensuring items are properly moved.
Organisation: Keeping track of inventory and ensuring everything is in its place while loading the truck.
Communication: Following instructions and communicating with crew members.
Teamwork: Working effectively with other movers.
Problem-solving: Addressing challenges that may arise during the moving process.
