Full Job Description

Chris’s Body Builders is built on our people, we all work together in a team orientated environment to achieve high quality tipping truck bodies and tipping trailers using the latest tools and equipment. Our manufacturing facility and role is located in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

CBB is looking for skilled fabricators and welders to join our fabrication team producing heavy vehicles for the tipping industry.

Position Details:

Hours: 7:30am - 4pm
Studying drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
Fabricate trailer bodies from steel, Hardox or aluminum
Fabricate trailer chassis from steel
Repair damaged vehicles and warranties
Welding using GMAW processes

Skills and Experience:

Experience in welding aluminum or steel
Skilled in their trade and have extensive fabrication experience
Extensive experience in GMAW welding processes, reading engineering drawings and welding symbols
Strong adherence to OH&S and in keeping a safe workplace
Self-motivated and able to work independently as required

An advantage:

Experienced fitting up and welding road vehicles
Forklift license
