About Us:The Sports Clinic of Melbourne is a leading physiotherapy clinic dedicated to providing exceptional care to athletes and sports enthusiasts. We specialise in treating sports-related injuries and promoting optimal performance through tailored rehabilitation programs and preventative measures. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to innovation, we provide sports coverage for numerous local AFL teams across Melbourne.

Position Overview:We are seeking passionate and skilled sports trainers to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to our clients. The sports trainer will play a crucial role in supporting injury prevention, management, and game day preparation for our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Taping during training and game days.
Assessing and managing injuries sustained during training sessions and games, including providing immediate first aid and coordinating further medical attention when necessary.
Implementing and overseeing concussion management protocols in accordance with AFL guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of players.
Collaborating with coaching staff, physiotherapists, and medical professionals to develop and implement injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation programs.
Providing game day support, including preparing and maintaining medical equipment, and offering on-field assistance as required.
Educating players on injury prevention techniques, rehabilitation exercises, and concussion awareness to promote long-term health and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience:

Understanding of injury prevention techniques, first aid principles, and concussion management protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with players, coaching staff, and medical professionals.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training sessions and game days.
