Role
We are looking for a Principal Specialist Sales Engineer to join our Zero Trust Branch team. This is a remote role, reporting to the Director of Specialists Solutions Architects. The Speciality Sales team is a global group of professionals who are passionate about delighting our customers, nurturing trusted partnerships, and sharing their expertise to drive a secure, cloud-enabled digital future and further cement our position as the world leader in cloud security. Sales, Customer Success, Sales Enablement, Solution Architects, Business Development, Transformation, and Technology Partnerships all work together to demonstrate the power and agility of Zscaler cloud transformation to the world. We're looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our Exposure Management team.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers
- Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions will meet customer goals and needs
- Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations
- Design evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes
- You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable building the path as you walk it, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance but as the raw material to build something meaningful.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architect
- Proven experience selling network security technologies (SD-WAN, routing protocols, SWG, routing, proxies, firewalls, SSL/IPsec, VPNs, DLP, and end-user monitoring)
- Industry standard certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+
- Deep understanding of complex, multi-year sales cycles and expertise in value-based storytelling
