About the Role

The Performance Coach plays a key role in delivering Saint Haven’s foundational strength, conditioning, and longevity-training methodologies. This role focuses on coaching essential physical qualities including strength, power, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, and movement efficiency to support members in building resilient, capable bodies across all stages of life.

The Performance Coach will develop their technical and coaching skills under the guidance of the Senior Performance Coach, learning to apply evidence-based progressions that enhance long-term health, reduce injury risk, and build the fundamental capacities required for more advanced training. They demonstrate competency in instructing basic strength movements, power mechanics, and aerobic/anaerobic conditioning strategies appropriate to any members' goals, needs and overall wellbeing.

Performance Coaches also contribute to facility operations and participate in Saint Haven’s structured professional development. This will provide pathways to continually build toward mastery of evidence-based practice and coaching competencies that underpin a world-class longevity and performance program.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality coaching sessions under the supervision of the Senior Performance Coach, aligned with Saint Haven’s performance and longevity standards.
Ensure all sessions are delivered safely, professionally, and with strong coaching attention to detail.
Coach and reinforce fundamental movement patterns appropriate for a broad client population.
Monitor client responses to training (e.g. fatigue, readiness, stress) and communicate observations to senior coaches where adjustments are required.
Support clients in building sustainable training habits, confidence, and understanding of their programs.
Collaborate with and refer clients to other Saint Haven services, reinforcing an integrated performance approach.
Support recovery strategies through basic education and appropriate use of recovery services.
Assist with the accurate collection and communication of performance data where required.
Maintain professional, respectful client communication consistent with Saint Haven’s standards.
Adhere to safety protocols and escalate concerns promptly.
Commit to ongoing professional development and mentorship.

Role Requirements

3+ years' experience in personal training, performance coaching or strength and conditioning.
Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sport Science or equivalent.
ASCA Level 1 or equivalent
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Demonstrated experience delivering 1:1 coaching, group training, or performance programming in a fitness, wellness or high-performance environment.
Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, functional movement, strength and conditioning principles, and injury prevention.
Excellent communication, motivation and client engagement skills.
Late afternoon & weekend availability is highly desired

Salary considerations include experience, qualifications and relevant skill sets.

Pay: $71,000.00 – $88,750.00 per year
