We are seeking an experienced IT System Analyst with strong systems and networking knowledge to support, maintain, and improve our organisation’s technology environment. The successful candidate will analyse business requirements, support enterprise applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the design and improvement of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
This role will work closely with internal teams, users, and technology partners to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, support, and enhance business systems, applications, and IT processes.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for systems, applications, networks, and infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, availability, and security.
- Support configuration and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewalls.
- Assist with network upgrades, system implementations, and technology improvement projects.
- Perform system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Work with vendors and service providers to resolve technical incidents.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, system records, and procedures.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including access controls, patching, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, and user experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Analyst, Network Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networking concepts, and infrastructure.
- Experience supporting Microsoft environments, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Windows systems.
- Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Experience with system troubleshooting, incident management, and technical problem resolution.
- Ability to analyse business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative IT team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure services, or enterprise mobility management.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management processes.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools.
- Relevant networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
Qualifications
- Degree or qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.
