M3 Kitchens & Joinery is a growing cabinetry and joinery company based in Mordialloc. Due to increased workload, we are looking for an experienced Cabinetry Designer / Joinery Drafter to join our team.
Previous hands-on experience using Mozaik Cabinet Software is essential for this position.
The successful candidate will work closely with our clients, production team and installers to prepare accurate designs, shop drawings and production documentation for residential and commercial joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design kitchens, laundries, wardrobes, pantries, entertainment units and other custom cabinetry using Mozaik
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and production drawings
- Create cutting lists, CNC files and installation drawings
- Review site measurements, architectural plans and client requirements
- Select appropriate cabinet construction methods, materials and hardware
- Communicate with clients, builders, factory staff and installers
- Check all drawings and production files carefully before manufacturing
- Make design changes and resolve technical issues when required
Skills and Experience
- Previous hands-on Mozaik Cabinet Software experience is essential
- Ability to independently complete cabinetry designs and production documentation using Mozaik
- Previous experience in cabinetry, kitchen design or joinery drafting
- Experience preparing shop drawings, cutting lists and CNC production files
- Good understanding of cabinet construction, manufacturing processes and installation requirements
- Knowledge of Australian board materials, hardware and joinery standards
- Ability to read architectural drawings and site measurements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Australian working rights are required
- A valid driver licence is preferred
