What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be the welcoming face of our centre, greeting patients and families with warmth and professionalism
- Coordinate vital treatment appointments and manage referrals
- Provide empathetic support to patient queries, both in person and over the phone
- Ensure accurate billing and handle daily financial transactions
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and track progress throughout treatment
- Use your knowledge of medical terminology and claims processes (Medicare, Private Health Insurance, DVA) to streamline care
Who We’re Looking For:
You’re a detail-oriented, compassionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. You bring strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine commitment to patient care.
Your Experience Includes:
- Previous experience in hospital, medical practice, or day procedure reception
- Familiarity with electronic practice management systems (Gentu and/or Genie highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of medical reception and inpatient services
- Ability to manage time independently and work collaboratively
- Proficiency in Windows-based programs (Email, Word)
- Basic knowledge of medical billing and health insurance claims
