About the role
We're looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join our Melbourne team. You'll be the senior technical voice on enterprise client engagements — leading a group of developers, shaping solution architecture alongside clients, and staying hands-on across a modern, varied tech stack. This is a client-facing leadership role that blends engineering, consulting and delivery: one day you'll be workshopping requirements as a technical BA, the next you'll be reviewing a CI/CD pipeline on AWS or guiding the team through a CMS build.
What you'll do
- Partner with enterprise customers as their trusted technical advisor, translating business goals into practical, well-engineered solutions.
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of developers — setting engineering standards, reviewing code and unblocking delivery.
- Act as a technical business analyst: run discovery sessions, ask the right questions, and flesh out requirements into clear, buildable specifications.
- Work with clients to prepare solution architectures for projects — including system design, integration approaches and technology selection.
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Deliver across a range of modern tech stacks, with hands-on development in Python and C# where needed.
- Lead builds and integrations on content management systems such as WordPress and other modern CMS platforms.
- Build and extend solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem, including PowerApps and the broader Power Platform.
- Champion the practical use of AI tools to optimise how we work — from development productivity to smarter client solutions.
- Embed security awareness into everything the team ships: secure coding practices, access control and data protection in line with our ISO 27001 standards.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of software development experience, including experience leading a group of developers.
- A track record of working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong AWS experience, particularly with CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
- Comfort working across any modern tech stack, with solid hands-on skills in Python and C#.
- Experience eliciting and documenting requirements — you can operate as a technical BA when a project needs one.
- Experience preparing solution architecture with and for clients.
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress (others like Drupal, Umbraco or headless CMS are a plus).
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, especially PowerApps.
- A positive, curious outlook on using AI to optimise work — you experiment with new tools and bring the team along.
- The ability to pick up new skills, languages and platforms quickly.
- A security-aware mindset across code, infrastructure and client data.
- Australian citizenship (required for this role).
Nice to have
- Experience in an agency or consultancy environment juggling multiple client projects.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer, or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce).

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
