Job Description

Reporting to the Terminal Coordinator, the position includes the following responsibilities:

Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activities (yard shunting) of rollingstock
Ensuring train and rollingstock examination activities on the site are conducted in a safe and efficient manner
Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT rail policies and work instructions.
Please note that this position is a yard only role with no mainline requirements.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role
Knowledge of rail operations and procedures
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate PC literacy
High level commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work in both a team environment and also unsupervised where required
Ability to follow instruction and complete tasks in a timely manner
Current valid Track Awareness Certificate (highly desirable)
