About the Role
We’re looking for a warm, welcoming and passionate Barista & Float Educator to join the team at Journey Caroline Springs .
This is a unique role that combines hospitality and early childhood education , creating a special experience for the families in our community.
From 7:00am–11:00am , you’ll take on our Parent Barista initiative , preparing fresh coffee for our parents, families and educators as they arrive for the day. You’ll be a friendly face at the beginning of the morning, helping create a welcoming and connected atmosphere for everyone entering our centre.
From 11:00am–3:00pm , you’ll transition into your role as a Float Educator , supporting different rooms and educators across the centre wherever you’re needed most.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves both connecting with people and working with children , and who enjoys having variety in their day.
- Your Morning: Parent Barista | 7:00am–11:00am
Prepare and serve coffee for parents, families and educators
Create a warm and welcoming experience for families arriving at the centre
Build positive relationships and connections with our parent community
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic coffee station
Support our Parent Barista initiative as part of the centre's family experience
Bring a friendly, positive and approachable attitude to every morning
Your Afternoon: Float Educator | 11:00am–3:00pm
Support educators across different rooms and age groups
Build positive relationships with children and contribute to their learning and development
Assist with play-based experiences, routines and transitions
Step into different rooms and support the team where needed
Maintain high standards of health, safety and care
Work collaboratively with educators and leadership to create a positive environment for children
About You
You’ll be someone who is:
Qualified with a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
Passionate about creating positive experiences for children and families
Warm, friendly and confident when interacting with parents and educators
Comfortable preparing coffee and creating a welcoming café-style experience
Adaptable and happy to move between different rooms throughout the day
Reliable, organised and team-oriented
A strong communicator who builds genuine relationships
Committed to children's safety, wellbeing and learning
Current with First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain)
Completed National Safeguarding Training and Victorian Child Protection Training
