Blueway Pty Ltd trading as Blueway specialises in high-quality renovation and painting services, delivering residential, commercial, and education space improvements. Our services range from painting and plaster repairs through to complete internal and external refurbishments.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson to assist with the preparation of engineering drawings, project documentation, and technical support for our construction and refurbishment projects. This role provides the flexibility to work remotely from a home office while maintaining regular on-site involvement at project locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist civil and structural engineers with preparing drawings and technical documentation for construction and refurbishment works.
● Produce detailed plans, sketches, layouts, and engineering drawings using drafting software and other relevant tools.
● Prepare drawings and documentation relating to drainage, stormwater systems, water supply, sewer connections, and associated civil works.
● Assist with the preparation of project specifications, material schedules, and construction documentation.
● Conduct site inspections, collect measurements, and prepare survey information and reports to support project planning.
● Review and check drawings, plans, and construction materials or requirements to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
● Support project coordination by liaising with engineers, contractors, trades, and project managers.
● Assist with the planning and scheduling of drafting tasks and provide updates on project documentation progress.
● Inspect completed works where required and assist with identifying maintenance or repair requirements.
● Support the documentation and coordination of plumbing, water supply, and related service systems.
● Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and technical documents throughout project stages.
Skills and Experience Required:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
● Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or similar role.
● Experience preparing civil engineering drawings and construction documentation.
● Proficiency with drafting software and technical drawing tools.
● Understanding of civil construction processes, site requirements, and engineering standards.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to work with engineers and construction teams.
