About the role

Join the Allied Health team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, where you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within one of Australia's leading public health services.

Working across a diverse medical caseload, you'll provide comprehensive assessment, intervention and discharge planning, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes while supporting safe and timely transitions of care.

As an experienced clinician, you'll provide clinical leadership within your designated area, supervising Grade 1 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and students while contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and be supported by experienced senior clinicians and the Occupational Therapy Manager, you'll also contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and innovative models of care that enhance patient outcomes across acute, subacute and community settings.

Key Accountabilities

Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy assessment, intervention and discharge planning across a diverse medical caseload.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
Supervise, mentor and support the development of Grade 1 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and students.
Build strong relationships with patients, families and care teams to support positive health outcomes.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development and research activities.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure practice meets professional and organisational standards.
Provide clinical leadership within your designated area, promoting best practice and continuous learning.
Actively participate in professional development to enhance clinical expertise and service delivery.

About You

You have hospital experience with a collaborative working style
You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others.
You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice
You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
