Role: Accountant
Aftershock PC Pty Ltd is a fast-growing technology and gaming PC company based in Melbourne. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
This role is ideal for a professional experienced in financial reporting, accounts management, payroll support, reconciliations, budgeting, and business financial analysis within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements
- Monitor company cash flow and banking activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with payroll processing and superannuation obligations
- Coordinate taxation documentation and compliance requirements with external accountants
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and internal control systems
- Analyse financial information and provide reporting support to management
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years relevant accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
- Experience using Cin7 inventory management system, ClickUp, and similar business systems.
- Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
- Experience working within retail, ecommerce, or technology-based businesses is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
